Privacy notice

Rosalia Nails, 734 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield S11 8TB ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect and why

When you book an appointment online we ask for your name, phone number and email address, and you may add optional notes. We also record the service, technician, date and time you chose.

We use this information only to manage your appointment: to hold your slot, to identify you when you arrive, and to contact you if we need to change or confirm anything. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to provide the service you have asked for (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Who can see it

Booking details are visible to salon staff so they can prepare for and carry out your appointment. Staff access is protected by individual logins with two-step verification.

The booking system is hosted by Supabase, a data-processing provider, on servers in London, United Kingdom. The website itself is hosted by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.

How long we keep it

Booking records are deleted automatically 12 months after the appointment date. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking. The only exception is the map on our homepage: it is not loaded until you press Show map. Pressing it loads Google Maps, which may set Google cookies in your browser and is subject to Google's privacy policy. If you do not press it, nothing from Google is loaded.

To stop automated bookings, the booking form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are a real person. Cloudflare processes technical details about your browser and connection for that purpose only, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We also keep the network address a booking was made from for 24 hours to limit repeat attempts.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
